May 11, 2009

An incentive has been worked out with the contractor that will push the completion to as early as October this year.  The contractor has added additional crews and is working some later hours Monday to Thursday and some additional hours on Saturdays.

High St. from Arcadia to Wilcox: AEP is installing cable for their facilities.  The roller compacted concrete installation did not meet specifications and is being repaired.  NO parking is currently available in this section.

High St. from Wilcox to Northwood:

The barrier wall has been removed.

On-street parking is available (one side only) along this stretch.  Some temporary traffic set ups will eliminate some parking during the daytime.

High St. from Northwood to Lane:

Intermittent operations may occur in this area that will have a localized impact on parking.  The concrete barrier will be removed as the sidewalk is completed.  Two-lane, two-way traffic that is currently in place will remain in effect.

Hudson Street will fully open to two way traffic this week.  On-street parking will be available.

Side street work continues on both side of High St. Various closures will occur with signs posted.  Some parking will be eliminated from High St. to the first alley, particularly during work hours.

A shift of the work zone to the east side of High street is scheduled to start the first week of June.
